I'm Lea, the heart and hands behind Stonehouse Studio Thread and Cloth.
From summers spent learning to crochet and can with my great-grandmother to life on our small farm in Auburn, California, making has been a constant thread throughout my life.
I find inspiration in changing seasons, winding trails, flower gardens, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Working with natural fibers and thoughtful details, I create bags that are both practical and beautiful—pieces meant to be used often, loved well, and carried on many adventures.
Rooted in family and inspired by the people around me, I find deep satisfaction in creating pieces that are both useful and personally meaningful.
Each piece is carefully handcrafted in small batches with the hope that it brings a touch of beauty, usefulness, and charm to your everyday adventures.
The studio
Stonehouse Studio Thread and Cloth is my small business and creative outlet. I sew each piece in the studio my husband built for me, a space that has become one of my favorite places on our farm.
